Greg McKinnon
Newcastle Wing Chun Kung Fu affiliated with the International Wing Chun Academy in 2003. It is run by Sihing Greg McKinnon who began training in 1986. Sihing Greg says Wing Chun is the most sensible and straight-forward martial art he has ever seen. He says that in training with Sifu Jim Fung and Sigung Chu Shong Tin, he has found a world of knowledge and depth that a lot of Wing Chun systems seem to miss. 'I was very fortunate to do some one on one training with my Sifu Jim Fung, which was enormously inspiring for me. To feel the force and structure of Sifu Jim opened a new door for me to be able to understand and teach Wing Chun to a higher level.'
'This understanding passed onto us through Sifu Jim and Sigung Chu seems unsurpassed to me as I have seen and felt many Wing Chun practitioners from many different lineages and have tested my skills many times.' Sihing Greg has continued to learn from his peers at the Sydney City HQ of the International Wing Chun Academy and from Sigung Chu during his many trips to Hong Kong.
